Which is a better laptop computer?
I am a student just starting high school and my parents are allowing me to get a laptop. These are the three I was looking at. If there are any others you would like to suggest feel free! Thanks for all the help!
The 13.3 inch apple macbook ($999 at best buy) OR
The 13.3 inch apple macbook pro (1,199 at best buy) OR
The 13.3 inch apple macbook air (1,399 at best buy)
For a High School student I recommend the MacBook $999.
I also recommend three other purchases.
First, whatever Mac you get, buy the extended AppleCare Protection Plan.

Second, remember to check out Apple education pricing. This is NOT available through BestBuy, only through Apple. You can put the savings towards the AppleCare.
Last, buy the iWork suite. It’ll make your work POP!
Addendum – for interoperability with the Windows world, get a FREE copy of OpenOffice.
OpenOffice is the leading open-source office software suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases and more. It is available in many languages and works on all common computers.
