my cd/dvd drive on my macbook broke..will apple cover this for free?
i purchased my macbook on late january 07….just earlier today my cd/dvd drive broke which i dont get cause i barely use it. since i barely use it i dont know how long its been broken. i just inserted a blank disc to burn some songs from itunes and as soon as i put the cd in it started making this grinding sound after the computer read the cd. i tried other cds and dvds as well and it does the same thing. will the apple store cover this since its still under the one year warranty for free or will they charge me? also how long will it take for them to fix this?
so i went to look for the receipt from best buy and couldnt find it…can they just verify it by the serial number? cause i registered it online right when i got it
Yes they will, locate and contact your nearest Apple Store in order to make arrangements for repair/replacement. They are usually very good with that kind of thing, no questions asked.
